Senior Unreal Engine Programmer

Location: Remote, UK.

Salary: 55-75k DOE.

Term: Permanent

Branch Tech Recruitment have partnered with an award-winning game studio on the hunt for a senior unreal engine developer to join their ranks on a full-time and permanent basis as they kick-start their exciting new project. The studio has helped create some award-winning high-quality narrative-driven games and is now moving onto creating an exciting, genre-defining sci-fi shooter experience.

As a senior programmer you will be a guiding hand in the prototyping, developing and implementing of key game systems while working with their already tight-knit team to deliver optimal and creative systems to match their technical innovations. You will be expected to adhere and bring your own spin on best practices, development processes and raise the game on coding standards while collaborating with all aspects of the company’s divisions.

Requirements:
– 5+ years of professional game development experience.
– Programming role on at least one commercially released game for console or PC.
– Excellent C++, software design, optimisation and debugging skills. 

– Solid understanding of multiple Unreal Engine technologies; Ai, Physics, Animation, Rending, etc. 

– Strong and effective communication skills and fluent in English.

Preferred:
– Experience developing AAA titles on console and PC platforms.

– Experience of the full development lifecycle, from prototyping through to post-release support. 

– Experience in version control software and agile/scrum methodologies.  – Experience with other engines eg. Unity/CryEngine/GameMaker etc.
– Experience with C#, Python, Maya, 3DSMax, Substance, ZBrush or other DCC tools.
