Senior Java Developer

Salary: £75,000

We are currently recruiting for one of the world’s leading software providers for secured business-business lending software. For over four decades they have been helping their clients deliver better business financing and their products and services are now used by over 130 banks and finance providers across the world.

Headquartered in London, they now employ over 170 people, with the software engineering team being the biggest function, playing a key role that ensures them to be leaders in the field.

 They now continue to grow and evolve, building on their heritage while keeping pace with the changing demands of the financial software sector.

The Ideal Candidate

They are now looking to expand the team in several areas and a currently looking for a Senior Java Developer packed with outstanding knowledge and technical expertise to be responsible for maintaining and developing new features in user interfaces.

You will be working alongside developers of all experience levels where there will be plenty of time to develop skills in other areas and opportunities to progress further.

 

Requirements

– Proven hands-on software development experience.
– Proven experience in the programming language being used.
– Proven experience with unit testing.
– Experience in using git and Spring Framework.
– Excellent knowledge of Relational databases and SQL.
– A knack for benchmarking and optimisation.
– Knowledge of concurrency patterns.
– Basic understanding of the class loading mechanism in Java.
– Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
– Understanding of JVM memory management and garbage collection.
– Familiarity with key libraries, like JUnity and Jackson.
– Experience with microservices as an advantage.
– Experience with Atlassian toolset as an advantage.
– Proactive in assigned duties.
– Manage own workload as well as work in collaboration with other members of the squad.
– Ability to work at our client’s office, as required.
